Women Ministries

The Department of Women’s Ministries exists to uphold, encourage, and challenge Adventist women in their pilgrimage as disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His world church. Moreover, women ministries respectfully encourage inclusion, not the exclusion of anyone.

Mission:

The Department of Women’s Ministries works to encourage, challenge, facilitate, equip, and nurture Seventh-day Adventist women.

Our Desire to invite women from the community and non- attending members to all women ministries activities and reconnecting with women – and, by extension, their families–who have stopped attending church. As women of God we are opening a forum to help address topics and issues as they affect women spiritually, emotionally, physically and as well as the social needs of all-women of the household of faith.

Empowerment:

  • – Seeking to ensure that every woman in the church is involved in at least one area of ministry or service .
  • – Provide opportunities for women to deepen their faith and experience spiritual growth and renewal
  • – Elevate women as persons of worth
  • – Build networks among womens – eg. a support system for nurturing and for hurting women–whether they are suffering from loss of spouse, loneliness, sickness,  and other needs.
  • – Promote opportunities for wider service for women
  • – Address the concerns of women
  • – Challenge and encourage our adventist Sisters to become involved in all areas of ministry.. to use their talents and spiritual gifts for the glory of God in their home, their church, and their community.
  • – Mentorship of young women so that they may find joy in the Lord.

Vision:

John 12:32: “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” Jesus’ words bring power and surety to our vision —lifting up Jesus as we serve humanity.

The Lord has a work for women as well as for men.

They may take their places in His work at this time, and He will work through them. If they are instilled with a sense of their duty, and labor under the influence of the Holy Spirit,  they will    have just the self-possession required for this time. The saviour will reflect upon these self-sacrificing women the light of His countenance, and will give them a power that exceeds that of men. They can do in families a work that men  cannot do, a work that reaches the inner life. They can come close to the hearts of those whom men cannot reach. Their labor is needed.
