At Dunamis, we believe that everyone is invited into a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ and is profoundly loved by God. Christ’s Great Commission—to make disciples of all nations, declare the everlasting gospel, and prepare a people for the imminent coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—is the foundation of our work.
The name Dunamis, which means “power,” serves as a reminder that the Holy Spirit gives our ministry the ability to change people’s lives and the communities they live in. Leading men, women, young adults, youth, and children to Jesus—the world’s Savior and the foundation of genuine hope, wellness, and eternal life—is at the heart of everything we do.
As followers of Christ, we Seventh-day Adventists believe in serving the full person. We are dedicated to fostering each person’s physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. By feeding the hungry, uplifting the discouraged, helping families, fostering healthy living, and spreading the hope taught in God’s Word, we want to express Christ’s love through worship, Bible study, community outreach, health ministries, education, or acts of kindness.
Our goal is to create a Christ-centered culture where individuals encounter God’s grace, find their calling, and are prepared to serve others, rather than just expanding a church. Transformed lives, in our opinion, become potent ambassadors for God’s kingdom.
We will continue to be devoted to the work that Jesus has given to His church until He arrives. This is our identity, not just our ministry. It is who we are, not just what we do.
